Calais Dover

SeaFrance celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2006. The company took over Sealink in 1996 and is the only French ferry operator on the Calais to Dover route. 2001 saw the launch of the SeaFrance Rodin, the largest and most powerful ship on the Short Sea Route. The SeaFrance Rodin was awarded the 2003-2004 Cruise & Ferry Award for the Most Innovative New Build Ferry. In the wake of this success, SeaFrance commissioned a sister ship, the SeaFrance Berlioz, which was brought into service in 2005. The company currently has a fleet of 6 ships and carries out 46 daily crossings between Calais and Dover, 30 of which are tourism sailings.
